Cutler Bay Carts

Cutler Bay, in the South Miami area, has a lot of parks, including Cutler Ridge, Franjo, and Whispering Pines park, along with Blackpoint Park and Marina for boating and fishing as well as trails to walk. Deering Estate, a nature park, hosts concerts, so it’s definitely a place to keep tabs on for any events that might pop up. The nearby Biscayne National Park also offers boating and snorkeling.

Doral, Miami Golf Cart Rental

There’s also various dining spots, from casual to upscale, along with the famous LIV Nightclub, which hosts large events.

Kendall Carts

Kendall features a lot of dining areas, with American and Brazilian restaurants abound – barbecue, steaks, and Latin inspired dishes are some of the most well-liked in the area. For other activities, Zoo Miami is nearby and is a great place to check out with your whole family, and there are also a few golf courses – even a mini golf place -, and public skating at the Kendall Ice Arena.

For customers staying in or near the Fort Lauderdale area, an upcoming event that may interest travelers is Dine Out Lauderdale 2025, running from August 1st to September 30th. Dine Out Lauderdale 2025

Dine Out Lauderdale is a large event that takes place all over the greater Fort Lauderdale area. More than 100 restaurants feature a prix-fixe (price fixed) menu of luxury, chef-curated multi-course meal options. Last year, price examples went from a range of $35 to $75. So many restaurants are involved that there truly is something for everyone, including a variety of international foods from restaurants such as Kousine Peruvian Kitchen, Lasso Gaucho Brazilian Steakhouse, Ethos Greek Bistro, Luigi’s Tuscan Grill, The Indian Harbor, and many more.

Participating cities include Fort Lauderdale, Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, Pembroke Pines, Hollywood, Dania Beach, Lighthouse Point, Coconut Creek, Wilton Manors, Plantation, Weston, Oakland Park, Coral Springs, Davie, and many others around the Broward County area. Yamaha Golf Cart | Yamaha Drive | Yamaha G Series

Just like the Club Car and EZGO, the Yamaha golf cart is one of the most common and popular brands of standard golf cart. There are a variety of different types of Yamaha carts, many of which we have available for sale and for rental. Some models include the G series (G1-G28), the Drive G29, and the Drive 2. The difference between these models, other than their appearance and some features, is the years they were released: The G series spans from 1985 to 2007, the Drive G29 was made from 2007 to 2016, and the Drive 2 was released in 2017 and continues today. Below is some more information about these different cart models, along with some pictures of some from our fleet.

Yamaha Golf Cart

Yamaha G Series (G1-G22)

Older models in Yamaha’s G series, such as the G1, G9, and G11, have a more square body shape, with some drivers preferring to have no roof. Later models like the G14, G19, and G22, have a shape closer to carts made in the present day, with a more rounded hood and slight differences in body measurements – such as the G22 having wider seats and a rounded roof. As older carts, these have more basic features and don’t immediately come with front headlights, and many of the G series models are available in both gas and electric.

Yamaha Drive G29

As a more modern design, the Yamaha Drive G29 has a sleeker look and a digital fuel gauge. On the dashboard, there’s also a battery indicator on electric models, and has the capability to allow for installation of two USB charging ports. Electric models use a high performance AC motor, while the gas carts have a 357cc low-emission single cylinder engine with electronic fuel injection, built by Yamaha. The gas models can reach a speed of around 15mph, while the electric carts can travel approximately 19mph. The body is made of molded plastic, and has several color options available.

Yamaha Drive 2

As the most recent model, the Yamaha Drive 2 has more advanced technology and upgraded features, with an automotive-style dash, a wider wheelbase, and a variety of different customization options, including allowing for the installation of a USB charging port, self-canceling turn signals, an enhanced audio experience with a JBL sound system, and a color coded speedometer. Seats are also wide and adjustable for various heights, and the cabin has a large amount of legroom. Its independent rear suspension provides a smooth ride, even on uneven terrain. Like all Yamaha carts, gas and electric versions are available.

While we have a variety of golf cart services we perform at our service center, there are also several different home golf cart maintenance tasks that the average person can perform to ensure that their golf cart remains in top condition for as long as possible. Some of these services are essential to maintaining the life of a golf cart, and may help increase its lifespan over carts that aren’t as regularly serviced by owners.

Bringing your cart to a service center at least once a year is recommended, but for the rest of the year, here are several home golf cart maintenance tasks to perform to ensure a long lasting golf cart.

Battery Maintenance

home golf cart maintenance, easy golf cart self repairs One of the most important tasks is making sure that an electric golf cart’s batteries are in their best condition and will last as long as possible. Many newer carts have a lithium battery system, which require virtually no maintenance, but for carts with a lead-acid battery system, regular maintenance is necessary. This includes checking the water levels and refilling with distilled water when they’re low – when refilling, the water levels are meant to be about an inch below the cap hole, or just touching the edges of where the hole begins. Cleaning the terminals is also essential to preventing damage to the posts or cables. Using a solution of baking soda and water, use a wire brush to clean any corrosion and the liquid solution to dissolve the acid deposits.

Keep the cart plugged in when not in use, though if you have an older model without a smart charger (one that shuts off automatically when the batteries are fully charged), take care to not overcharge the batteries to prevent shortening their lifespan. Always check your batteries for signs of damage as well, such as frayed or broken cables, or any cracks, leaks, or excessive swelling.

Tire Inspections

home golf cart maintenance, easy golf cart self repairs It’s recommended to use a tire pressure gauge to check the air pressure level of your tires and make sure none are over or underinflated. Depending on your golf cart, the specific ideal tire pressure may vary, but most cart tires range between 15 and 25 psi. Also make sure to inspect for any signs of excessive wear or damage, such as shallow grooves, exposed treads, or reduced firmness.

Brake Adjustments

Inspecting and servicing your golf cart’s brake system is recommended to perform at least once a year. Check brake pads, drums, and cables and adjust as needed, and ensure that you have enough brake fluid – top off if needed. Many golf carts have rear brake pads, so include those if your has them and replace when necessary.

Lubricate Moving Parts

Regular suspension lubrication, as well as greasing the steering wheel rack and pinion, or any other moving parts, is necessary to keeping your golf cart functioning its best.

General Maintenance

Along with greasing steering wheel components, also check the steering yoke system and make sure all bolts are tight. For carts that have lights and mirrors, check these regularly to ensure that nothing is loose or damaged, and all wires and connections are functioning and not frayed or broken. Don’t forget to check all lights – including headlights, taillights, brake lights, and turn signals. If any of these are not working, consult the owner’s manual.

For gas golf carts, make sure there are no engine leaks by checking under your cart for stains on the ground. Inspect belts and cables, and check spark plugs as well. If you need an oil change, you may need to have your cart picked up and brought to our service center.

EZGO Golf Cart | EZGO RXV | EZGO TXT | EZGO Parts

Along with Club Car, the EZGO golf cart is another widely recognized brand of golf cart, available in a variety of sizes including utility carts with a box bed or flatbed. The most common types of EZGO cart include the EZGO RXV and EZGO TXT. The main difference between the RXV and TXT is their age – the RXV is the more modern version of the TXT, with more upgraded features and better performance and technology. EZGO introduced the TXT in the 1990s, while the RXV was introduced in 2008. Below is some more information about both types of golf cart, and why one may be preferred over the other.

EZGO RXV Golf Cart

Introduced in 2008, the EZGO RXV offers more modern features, with a more rounded, streamlined look to its body, giving it more customization options. Like most golf carts, the RXV comes with a lead-acid battery system, but does also include the option for a lithium battery. Its AC motor increases its powertrain by enhancing its efficiency and torque, and its fly-by-wire braking system could potentially reduce wear on other mechanical components. However, with more features and more technology, it could also lead to more maintenance being required.

EZGO TXT

Like the RXV, the TXT can also have a lead-acid or lithium battery system, with a traditional DC motor, but as the older models, gas carts are more common than their modern counterparts. Their body is more simple and traditional, with less customization options, but its simpler features are preferred for some drivers, as it can require less maintenance. For drivers who like the more traditional yet reliable approach, the TXT is the cart of choice.

Club Car Golf Cart | Club Car Precedent | Club Car Tempo

One of the most common golf cart brands is the Club Car golf cart, coming in a variety of sizes including 4 passenger and 6 passenger. There are several different models with different body styles and varying specifications, including the Club Car Tempo and Club Car Precedent. These carts are similar, and some parts like seats can be used for either, but the Tempo is a more modern version of the Precedent, with upgraded technology, battery configurations, and a different front body cowl.

ELECTRIC AND GAS AVAILABLE

Most Club Car golf carts are electric, especially ones we have for sale and for rental, as they are faster, quieter, and better for the environment. Club Car even has a special, high frequency charger known as E.R.I.C. – efficient, reliable, intelligent, and connected. This charger has status lights and various alerts that can tell drivers that the cart is charging, the state of the charge cycle, and any faults. It also shuts off when the batteries are fully charged, but will continue to monitor the battery pack and deliver power as needed. However, some drivers prefer gas golf carts, especially if they are using them in areas where an outlet isn’t readily available, such as a campground or construction site. Gas Club Car carts can typically travel about 12-15mph, while electric carts can reach speeds of around 16-20mph.

Fully charged golf cart batteries can travel approximately 20-25 miles on a charge, and for carts with a lithium battery upgrade, this range is greatly increased. A Club Car golf cart with a lithium battery can travel from between 40 to 80 miles on a charge, depending on the size and brand of lithium battery installed. Club Car Precedent

The Club Car Precedent is built with an aluminum frame, which is not only lightweight and durable, but also does not rust. Its responsive steering system allows for easy driving in any application, whether it be on the golf course, residential roads, or parking lots and campuses for security. The electric motor in this cart is also equipped to drive uphill and over uneven terrain without compromising energy efficiency. A variety of accessory options are available, such as enclosures, cooling fans, and storage compartments.

Club Car Tempo

As the more modern version of the Precedent, the Club Car Tempo has similar features, with some newer technologies such as USB ports and StopSmart, which gradually slows the cart in the event of a power failure. The Tempo also has an automatic electronic parking brake, as well as responsive mechanical braking. They have a rust-proof aluminum frame, along with molded-in color bodies, giving them their incredible durability. Electric Car Maintenance | Annual Service | Multi-Point Inspection

Annual service is an important part of owning any car, and although electric vehicles require less maintenance than standard gas powered vehicles, electric car maintenance is still an essential part of EV ownership. Even if there are no obvious issues with your vehicle, periodic inspection is still a must, as our technicians can pinpoint if a component is close to failing or wearing out, or if any tires need to be changed or aligned, among many others. An inspection is also highly recommended before any long drive.

Below is a list of some of our inspections and maintenance that we perform when your car is brought in for annual service. Our electric car repair page at Aberdeen EV Repair also goes into more detail about specific services we provide.

Electric Car Maintenance Multi-Point Inspection

When going over your electric vehicle’s components, we provide a variety of basic maintenance tasks necessary to proper function. This includes fluid checks and replacements, such as changing hydraulic brake fluid, checking the transmission fluid in the drive unit, and refilling windshield wiper fluid if needed. We can also change wiper blades, as well as cabin filters, and even very simple tasks like changing key fob batteries.

Tire Services and 4-Wheel Alignment

When driving, the alignment of your wheels slowly shifts and becomes uneven over time. Other minor accidents, such as fender benders and hitting potholes or curbs, along with off-roading or aggressive driving, can worsen misaligned wheels. A sign that your wheels are misaligned is, when letting go of the steering wheel, the vehicle pulls instantly to the left or right. Over time, this worsens, and with all the effort required to keep the car straight, your tires will become worn faster than normal, and more unevenly, and more energy is used. Our team of technicians is ready to get your electric vehicle’s wheels straightened out for a smoother and more energy efficient ride.

We can also inspect and service your tires – our team can give you an honest and informed decision on whether or not you need a new set of tires, single replacements, or tire/rim maintenance and repair without any replacements.

HVAC System

The HVAC system is responsible for heating and cooling of your vehicle, and in south Florida, a working air conditioner is a must. Signs that your AC unit may need maintenance include damp and/or weaker air currents, unusually loud sounds, and and increase of charging time with a decreased charging rate. If your vehicle is displaying any of these signs, it’s important to bring it in for service before the problem gets worse, leading to more expensive repairs down the line.

Suspension Inspection

Worn suspension can cause a variety of issues, including causing wheels to become misaligned much faster than normal, a rougher driving experience – which could lead to increased wear and more frequent maintenance -, and decreased durability and lifespan. If your suspension is not in good condition, it can create various different issues down the line for your vehicle. Our maintenance team will inspect and diagnose any issues, and give you the best price quote for any repairs needed.
